Summer Scrub

I love a good scrub for summer to get those feet, hands and elbows nice and clean and soft and ready for the beach! This scrub is awesome. So many scrubs are so expensive, and so many can be made with common ingredients in your kitchen. You can also gently use it on your face and neck. Enjoy

Ingredients:

1/4 C. oatmeal
1/4 C. powdered milk
1 Tbsp. table or sea salt
1 tsp. powdered herb (I like comfrey or plantain for problem skin, and peppermint and spearmint are nice and cooling)
1Tbsp. fine cornmeal (this is if you want extra exfoliation)
1Tbsp. dried rose petals, dried lavender buds, calendula, etc..

I like to throw it all in the grinder (I use a magic bullet, it works great), and then process until fine. Then I add about 3-5 drops of my favorite essential oils at the time and mix thoroughly. It is best kept in a small mason jar or other container.

To use, take about 1 tbsp. in your hand and mix with water to form a paste. Massage into skin. For best results, let sit on skin for a minute or two. Rinse.
